Leading paint manufacturer Johnstone's has launched a new Stain Block Primer which will further enhance the wide range of specialist primers available in its Performance Coatings range
The Stain Block Primer which has a durable matt coating, is suitable for containing stains caused by a wide range of sources including nicotine, smoke, marker pen, wax crayon, graffiti, tannin and bitumen. The flexible primer can be overcoated with any water based emulsion.
"Johnstone's is continuously improving its range of Performance Coatings in response to the needs of its customers,' comments Kelly Quarmby, Assistant Brand Manager - Johnstone's Woodcare & Specialities. 'Stain blocking and containment are essential tools for any decorator and the Johnstone's new Stain Block Primer represents a significant development in this important area."
The tough, durable matt coating has a one-coat coverage and prevents stains bleeding through from the substrate. Its unique properties allow it to be used over resilient stains such as those caused by water stains, grease, nicotine, rust, graffiti, ink and grease. Where stains have been caused by water damage, the fault should be eradicated and the substrate allowed to dry in order for the stain block primer to be fully effective.
"Johnstone's has invested over £2m in research and development over the past 18 months and this product is just one of the many exciting new developments that will be available to the decorating industry as a result." Concludes Kelly Quarmby.
Johnstone's new Stain Block Primer is available in a white matt finish and is recommended for interior use as a primer on plaster, masonry and wood to cover unsightly stains.
Johnstone's Paints is one of the UK 's leading manufacturers of paint and decorating supplies. For further information on Johnstone's new stain block primer please go to http://www.johnstones-paints.co.uk.
