Time is running out for schools in Watford to enter a fantastic competition which could win them a free decorative makeover for one of their classrooms.

John stone's Paints has launched the competition in conjunction with CLC, a National Painting and Decorating Contractor with a branch in Watford, offering one lucky school the opportunity to win a free classroom makeover worth up to £2,000. Johnstone's will provide the paints required for the makeover, and CLC will carry out the decoration work free of charge.

Pupils from schools wanting to enter the competition need to write in no more than 150 words why their classroom deserves to win the makeover. A teacher from the school should collate all of the pupil entries and send them in for their school before the closing date of June 22nd .

The competition, which will run until 22 nd June 2007, is open to school children aged between 9 - 11 years old who attend schools within the postcode areas WD17, WD18, WD19, WD23, WD24, WD25 and WD3.

Gina Laycock, Decorating Centre Marketing Manager at John stone's, said: "We have launched this competition because we wanted to give something back to the local community."

"The closing date for receipt of entries is June 22nd so schools that want to be in with a chance of winning a classroom makeover need to send in their entries as soon as possible," she added.

A panel of judges, including a representative from the Watford Observer, will choose the three finalists for the competition. The finalists details will then be published in the newspaper and readers will be asked to vote on which school they think should win the competition.

So, there's no time to lose - put pen to paper and tell John stone's and CLC why your school classroom deserves to win a free decorative makeover.
