HiQ gets to grips with excellent customer service

 

A bespoke point of sale customer service system which has been installed throughout the entire HiQ network will provide an even better experience for customers visiting stores, according to the leading fast fit organisation.

 

The Goodyear Dunlop Retail Integrated Point-of-Sale System (GRIPS) is a unique customer relationship management system which is being introduced to all HiQ stores in the UK and its sister companies across Europe .

 

The unique Windows based point of sale system is the result of £1. 5 m investment in customer service which will provide employees with detailed pricing information and enhanced customer profiling at all of HiQ's 130 stores across the network.

 

"GRIPS is the result of an intensive research and development programme and reflects a substantial investment in customer service,' comments Gary Price, GRIPS project manager.

 

"The system allows every store in the HiQ network to access information on all previous customer interactions including purchase information and service requirements thus building a detailed profile of individual customer need," he adds.

 

The UK is the first region in Europe to adopt GRIPS. The system was developed over a period of twelve months with installation taking nine weeks, during which new computer systems were installed in all of HiQ's company owned retail stores and HiQ's 14 Truckforce stores. Store managers then underwent four days of intensive training to ensure each store was fully compliant with the system's requirements.
